Saudi student dies in Malaysia , Kuala Lumpur .
22/02/2013 A Saudi student was killed in a traffic accident in Malaysia. His body has been buried at his hometown in the Kingdom.
Anas bin Foad Banjar, a student on the King Abdullah Foreign Scholarship Program who was studying for a Bachelor's degree at the Multimedia Sciences University in Kuala Lumpur, was killed while returning home following a visit to an orphanage in Malaysia's capital city a few days ago. The accident occurred when the motorbike he was riding strayed from its track. He was in the hospital's intensive care unit for three days before finally succumbing to his injuries.
Saudi Cultural Attache Abdul Rahman Fasayyel, Yusuf Al-Showaer, the official in charge of citizens' affairs at the embassy and director of Academic Affairs Hashim Al-Attas, visited and provided assistance for treatment at the hospital. The embassy also arranged for the transportation of the body to Jeddah, Al-Madinah daily reported on Saturday. Anas is survived by his wife and two
children.
